Welcome

My name is Rhonda Buie, I am a wife and a mother. A lover of animals, nature, Yoga, the moon and the stars. I love to create and love seeing things and people grow. I have grown a passion for bettering myself and love to help others.
Four years ago at 50 years old, I felt I was at a turning point in my life. I thought if I were to live to be 100, I was halfway there. So I decided it was time for me to take steps towards realizing my passions. I had the need to fulfill some dreams and needed to get a jump on it, but with life and everything it throws at you, it wasn’t easy. So I just started to focus on living ~ Life ~ I had many ideas like getting yoga certified and having a shop to house all of my creations! I needed to start fresh and from the beginning. I asked myself what is the most important thing? What was going to keep me around longer? I want to be there to see my children and their children’s children flourish.
The answer was: my health. That is the one thing that we all need that matters. It’s hard to enjoy so many things without it. I started to really pay attention to what I was putting into my body.
I was eating pretty healthy, but I needed to get serious. I started with intermittent fasting . It wasn’t too hard as I wasn’t really a breakfast eater. I also realized certain foods that didn’t set well with me. Yogurt and nuts caused me to bloat, so I had to remove those foods from my daily intake. I started to eat with good intentions.
Shortly after making better food choices I expanded my focus and started looking at how I wanted to start exercising. Biking, Running/walking, weight lifting, elliptical? I’m not good at tennis and have never tried golf. All of those are great but didn’t fit ‘me’ so I started thinking of something that I would still enjoy doing when I was 80!
Enter Yoga.
I dabbled in it years past and it was in 2011 while on a trip to St. Petersburg, Florida I ran across a channel in the Hotel where Shiva Rhea was doing Yoga. That’s when it started. As soon as I got home I ordered her DVD. However at this point in my life I didn’t have a lot of time for me so I did not continue long. But this time after being in a better place and feeling like I knew more about it I started taking classes at the YMCA. I became obsessed with it. I took as many classes as I could that worked around my work schedule.
Yoga changed my body, my mind and my life. It has given me so many things besides an exercise. Now after 8 month of hard work and dedication during the pandemic I am a certified Yoga Instructor ready to share my love of yoga with others, but I will delve into those details later.
So This is me. A simple woman just wanting to spread love, joy and inspiration to anyone who may need it. I hope you find whatever it is you may be looking for on my site and more. Namaste!
