I Can Hear Your Kindness

Updated: Dec 28, 2021

Tinnitus affects many people. It can be exceedingly bothersome and may even cause negative effects on quality of life, among them disruptions in sleep cycles, communication issues, anxiety, irritability, concentration difficulties and depression. It is always there and can be debilitating. For those who have never experienced these symptoms, tinnitus may seem like a minor nuisance. But people who live with tinnitus know it can disrupt many different areas of a person's life, including relationships, work, and overall health. As far as we know…there is no cure. So it’s not easily treated from what I read.

As I’m sure many of you know I already have hearing problems. So this makes it a little more difficult for me. The tinnitus has always been there but as of now it is almost unbearable as I just want some relief and to know that this will go away eventually. While fighting a double inner ear infection, that alone leaves you exhausted. Everything that goes with it. Not just the ringing and constant whirring in my ears but conversations I can/can’t have without really having to pay attention to that persons voice (as it sounds “muffled”) ,lips (as I need to read them), as well as body language. You don’t realize how much it takes to carry all of that and at the same time, trying to take part in a conversation. Knowing you are hearing some things wrong as well. When other conversations are going on around you it’s hard to not hear all the chatter. So if you imagine- it can be frustrating at times. Right now I don’t know what to expect and It’s pretty scary to be honest. Hopefully when I see an ENT, I can have some answers!

I do have to say I am so thankful I am not in any pain! Thanks for listening. Kindness is a language I can hear so any good thoughts, prayers and vibes are appreciated! Do you have this problem? Looking for answers and prayers 🙏🏻
